“You’re the kid who saved Batman. Whatever happens, that will always be the truth.”
The revelation of the identity of the leader of the Children of Arkham in the last episode was, in my point of view, a bit of a let-down. The story didn’t really build to it, and on the whole, it didn’t really feel right within the world of the Dark Knight. That being said, episode 4 sought to explain it’s way through that problem.
Carrying on from the end of episode 3, Guardian of Gotham starts off with Bruce Wayne incarcerated in Arkham Asylum. After making some new friends, some of whom you may recognise, Bruce uses what little influence he has left. Out of money and out of luck, he must face the Children of Arkham, Penguin, and the turning ever crazier Two Face all at once.
I’ll admit, nothing revolutionary happens in this episode, but I’m ok with that. It’s more about the fallout of episode 3 and how episode 4 builds into the upcoming episode 5. Telltale once again returns with some stellar storytelling, and their own take on some DC heavyweights, including one who’s just bound to put a smile on your face…
