STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION FANCAST

Somehow it's been a decade now since J.J. Abrams re-launched the Star Trek movies with 2009's 'Star Trek'. Since then we've had two sequels and an allegedly cancelled fourth film. On that thought, I've constructed a fancast for who I think should play the cast of the Enterprise - D, should they go the route of rebooting The Next Generation as well. (As far as I'm aware there are no current plans to do so, but it's fun to imagine...)

Captain Jean-Luc Picard - Ralph Fiennes

Commander William Riker - Henry Cavill

Lieutenant Commander Data - Rami Malek

Lieutenant Commander Georgi La Forge - Chadwick Boseman

Counsellor Deanna Troi - Morena Baccarin

Lieutenant Worf - Mike Colter

Doctor Beverly Crusher - Amy Adams

Chief Miles O'Brien - Chris O'Dowd

Lieutenant Tasha Yar - Gwendoline Christie

Wesley Crusher - Freddie Highmore

Guinan - Angela Basset

Q - John Barrowman

Borg Queen - Tilda Swinton (While not in The Next Generation this idea was too good not to mention)

So yeah, that's my fancast. If I get round to it I make do a few 'What if I made...' posts like I did with the Star Wars prequels for some films staring this crew. But anywho, for now, that's your lot.
